Generosity That Builds the Kingdom
As we enter the Second Sunday of Advent, Fr. Skip reflects on the grace of this holy season and the call to prepare a place for Christ through generosity of heart (p.6). Advent reveals God’s abundant love in giving us His Son, and our giving becomes a way that Christ’s hope reaches others.
He celebrates the growing life of the parish — more than 25 catechumens at last week’s Rite of Welcome — and reminds us that the paying off of the parish debt marks a new chapter of possibility for ministry, formation, and outreach (p.6).
Stewardship, he shares, is not merely meeting needs, but discerning how God is calling Blessed Trinity to grow. Every gift — small or great — becomes a seed for the Church of tomorrow. He invites parishioners to participate in the End-of-Year Christmas Appeal, a vital offering that sustains the parish’s mission and future.
“In God’s hands, our sacrifices become grace for others. Thank you for making Blessed Trinity a vibrant, welcoming community.” (p.6)
