The Family Faith Formation program at Blessed Trinity Parish is dedicated to providing adults, youth and children with the knowledge, experiences and skills necessary to become faithful and fruitful disciples of Jesus.

In keeping with their age, they will assume responsibility as vital members of the parish and be able to participate in the Church’s mission to proclaim, celebrate and serve.

Religious Education

The capacity of the Parish Center is limited.
 First come, first serve.

The classes offered for the school year 2025-2026 - One (1) hour are as follows:

From Pre K to 5^th grade

1. On Campus: Sundays 10:00 Mass followed by instruction from 11:00 to 12:00 noon.

Max capacity 15 kids per classroom.

2. Home School: per parent’s schedule. Contract Required. First Holy Communion candidates EXCLUDED

From 6^th to 8th- EDGE

   Face to Face. Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Parish Center

From 9^th to 12th- LIFE TEEN
    Face to Face Sunday Night. Program begins with-5pm Family Life Teen Mass until 6pm. 6pm to 8pm Parish Center
 
 

Preschool Formation (4 and 5 years old)

“Seeds” from Pflaum. Will teach young children about our Catholic faith. Familiarize children with the Catholic sacraments, liturgical rituals, symbols, and seasons. Help form children’s moral lives, standards, and values. Teach children how to pray. Give children the words and tools they need to talk about God.

 

Elementary Formation (Grade 1 -5) 

The Word of Life series is published by Augustine Institute. The General Directory of Catechesis (no.226) states “Children thus perceive and joyously live the closeness of God and of Jesus made manifest by their parents.”  Simply put: Parents are the primary educators of their children.  Teachers will still teach on Sundays, but parents will take a more active role in the catechism of their child. In order to accomplish this, parents are asked to support our catechists by reviewing their child's classwork at home and completing any follow-up assignments with their child for the following Sunday.

REGISTRATION FOR FIRST HOLY COMMUNION IS CLOSED


Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion    Peace and Joy of Christ be with You
Second grade or the completion of the seventh year of life is the expected age for celebrating these sacraments.  The norm for the Diocese of Orlando states that “the first reception of Penance and Reconciliation is always to precede  the first reception of Holy Communion for the Latin Rite/Roman Catholics.”  For members of Blessed Trinity Parish, the preparation for these sacraments will be a yearlong process of formation involving Sunday Morning Religious Education classes along with the required parent and child(ren) additional sacramental classes (and rehearsal ceremonies) in the Fall for First Reconciliation and the Spring for First Holy Communion.  Our parish catechetical formation program also offers a mandatory one-day mini-retreat for our children (on a designated weekend) with the rehearsal ceremonies.  For parents/families unable to fulfill these necessary sacramental guidelines, our parish will offer parent-packets for home study and a mandatory one-week of classes in the early summer for the fulfillments of the catechetical guidelines for the reception of these sacraments. You will Forfeit participation in the May First Holy Communion Ceremony.  (Make-up classes will no longer be scheduled for missing normal/required religious education sessions.) The parish will schedule summer ceremonies/liturgies for the celebration and reception of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.  (Please note:  Summer catechetical sessions and ceremonies for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are not an option to replace the additional sacramental classes for the regular school year First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion programs.) Confirmation: We invite high school teens that are entering the 9^th grade to begin Pre-Confirmation Prep. Participation in Pre-Confirmation Prep means that the teen will actively participate in the Sunday night Life Teen program for a year. Once teens have completed a year of Pre-Confirmation Prep, the following year will enter into Confirmation Prep.  Teens who will be entering the Confirmation Program will attend regular LIFE TEEN gatherings and in addition, 7 once a month Sunday afternoon sessions with their sponsor. Teens must have a solid background in religious education before sacramental catechesis for Confirmation (Preparation) begins. This takes place through parish religious education. Candidates for Confirmation at Blessed Trinity do not begin immediate preparation for Confirmation until they are 15 years old and/or in 10^th grade. Requirement to participate: Copy of the Baptism Certificate and Copy of the First Communion Certificate. Attendance requirements must be met for completion of the Sacrament. All high school teens are welcome to join us on the journey to receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Adults:

Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation: These classes are for everyone over 18 years of age. They consist of 8 classes on Sundays from 8:20 to 9:50 am in English and at 10:30 to 11:50 am in Spanish. Requirement to participate: Copy of the Baptism Certificate, and Copy of the First Communion Certificate. 

OCIA: The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is a process developed by the Catholic Church for prospective converts to Catholicism above the age of infant baptism (7 years old). Candidates are gradually introduced to aspects of Catholic beliefs and practices. This program is one school year on Sundays from 11:00 am with participation at the 10:00am Mass.

Registration:

• OCIA Program: This program is free to participants. Please contact Louie Murgia for Registration.

• Faith Formation and Sacramental programs: These programs are costly to our parish. Materials for classes, textbooks, retreats, catechist and staff training, require that all participants contribute a small amount to defray these expenses. The scope of our education includes children and adult catechesis, and registration needs to be completed online.

• Catechist’s children: It is a blessing for Blessed Trinity to have outstanding Catechists as volunteers in our Faith Formation Programs. Their children’s participation in Faith Formation and/or EDGE and/or LIFE TEEN program is free of cost. Please Contact Louie Murgia (407) 277-1702 Ext 103 for any information on registration.

The fees collected for our classes allow Blessed Trinity to continue this valuable ministry. 
In consideration of these expenses, we ask that you remit the following: 

• $60.00 Per Student
• $50 *ANY STUDENT ACTIVELY SERVING AS AN ALTAR SERVER OR ANY OTHER LITURGICAL MINISTRY 4th- 12th Grade

• $45 for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion 
• $45 for the Sacrament of Confirmation NOTE: CONFIRMATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL TENTH GRADE OR ABOVE REQUIRES ONE YEAR PRIOR PARTICIPATION IN LIFETEEN .
• $45 for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, FHC and Confirmation for ADULTS

El programa de la familia de Formación de la Fe de la parroquia de Blessed Trinity está preparado para proveer a adultos, jóvenes y niños el conocimiento, las experiencias y las habilidades necesarias para convertirse en fieles y exitosos discípulos de Jesus

Conforme a su edad, ellos podrán asumir responsablemente su rol como miembros vitales de la Parroquia y podrán participar en la misión de la Iglesia la cual es proclamar, celebrar y servir.

Educación Pre-Escolar (4 y 5 años de edad)

El Programa “Seeds” de Pflaum. Enseñará a los niños pequeños acerca de nuestra fe católica. Familiarice a los niños con los sacramentos católicos, los rituales litúrgicos, los símbolos y las estaciones. Ayudar a formar la vida moral, los estándares y los valores de los niños. Enseñar a los niños a rezar. Darle a los niños las palabras y las herramientas que necesitan para hablar de Dios.

 

Educación Primaria (Elementary) (Grados 1 – 5)

La serie “Palabra de Vida” es publicada por el Instituto San Augustine. El Directorio General de la Catequesis (n. 226) afirma que “los niños perciben y viven con alegría la cercanía de Dios y de Jesús manifestada por sus padres”. En pocas palabras: los padres son los principales educadores de sus hijos. Para lograr esto, se les pide a los padres que asistan a la Formación de Fe una vez al mes al comienzo de una nueva unidad con su hijo. Los maestros seguirán enseñando los domingos, pero los padres tendrán un papel más activo en el catecismo de sus hijos.

Niños y Jóvenes:

LA INSCRIPCIÓN PARA LA PRIMERA COMUNIÓN ESTÁ CERRADA

Sacramento de la Reconciliación y Primera Comunión: La paz y la alegría de Cristo estén con ustedes. La edad esperada para celebrar estos Sacramentos es 7 años o segundo grado de primaria. La Diócesis de Orlando establece que: El Rito de la iglesia católica y romana es "Recibir por primera vez la Reconciliación y la Penitencia, siempre debe preceder al recibimiento de la Sagrada Comunión. Para los miembros de la Parroquia de Blessed Trinity, la preparación para estos sacramentos será un proceso de formación de un año de duración que incluirá clases de Educación Religiosa los domingos por la mañana junto con las clases sacramentales adicionales requeridas para padres e hijos (y ensayos de ceremonias) en otoño, la Primera Reconciliación y en primavera la Primera Comunión.  Nuestro programa de formación sacramental también ofrece un mini-retiro obligatorio de un día para nuestros niños (en un fin de semana designado) con ensayo de las ceremonias.  Para los padres/familias que no puedan cumplir con estas necesarias pautas sacramentales, nuestra parroquia ofrecerá paquetes para padres para estudio en el hogar y una semana obligatoria de clases a principios del verano para el cumplimiento de las pautas de la catequesis sacramental.  (No habrá más clases de recuperación para completar las faltas a las sesiones de educación religiosa normales/obligatorias). La parroquia programará ceremonias/liturgias de verano para la celebración y recepción de la Primera Reconciliación y la Primera Comunión.  (Tenga en cuenta que las sesiones de catequesis de verano y las ceremonias para la Primera Reconciliación y la Primera Comunión, no son una opción para reemplazar las clases sacramentales adicionales del programa de Primera Reconciliación y Primera Comunión del año escolar regular). Requisito para participar: Copia del Certificado de Bautismo.

Confirmación: 

 Invitamos a los adolescentes de secundaria que ingresan al 9º grado a comenzar la Preparación para la Pre-Confirmación. La participación en la Preparación para la Pre-Confirmación significa que el adolescente participará activamente en el programa Life Teen del domingo por la noche durante un año. Una vez que los adolescentes hayan completado un año de Preparación para la Pre-Confirmación, el año siguiente entrará en la Preparación para la Confirmación.  Los adolescentes que ingresarán al Programa de Confirmación asistirán a las reuniones regulares de LIFE TEEN y, además, a 7 sesiones de domingo por la tarde una vez al mes, con su padrino. Los adolescentes deben tener una sólida formación en educación religiosa antes de que comience la catequesis sacramental para la Confirmación (Preparación). Esto se lleva a cabo a través de la educación religiosa parroquial. Los candidatos a la Confirmación en la Santísima Trinidad no comienzan la preparación inmediata para la Confirmación hasta que tienen 15 años de edad y/o están en el décimo grado. Requisito para participar: Copia del Certificado de Bautismo y Copia del Certificado de Primera Comunión Se deben cumplir los requisitos de asistencia para completar el Sacramento. Todos los adolescentes de secundaria son bienvenidos a unirse a nosotros en el camino para recibir los dones del Espíritu Santo.

Adultos

Reconciliación, Primera Comunión y Confirmación son ofrecidas para toda persona mayor de 18 años de edad. Constan de 8 clases ofrecidas los Domingos a las 8:30 am en Ingles y a las 10:30 am en español. Requisito a presentar: Copia del Certificado de Bautizo y Copia del Certificado de Primera Comunión.

RICA: El Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos (RICA), es un proceso desarrollado por la Iglesia Católica para los posibles conversos al catolicismo mayores de la edad del bautismo infantil (7 años). A los candidatos se les presenta gradualmente aspectos de las creencias y prácticas católicas. Los Domingos a las 11:00am con participación de la Misa en Español a las 12:00 del mediodía.

- Programa RICA: Este programa no tiene costo. Comuníquese con Yliana Soto.

- Programas de Educación de la Fe y/o Sacramentales: estos programas son costosos para nuestra parroquia. Los materiales para las clases, libros de texto, retiros, catequistas y capacitación del personal, requieren que todos los participantes contribuyan con una pequeña cantidad para sufragar estos gastos. El alcance de nuestra educación incluye la catequesis para niños y adultos, y debe completarse en línea.

- Hijos del Catequista: Para la Santísima Trinidad es una bendición contar con nuestro Catequista como voluntarios en nuestros Programas de Formación en la Fe. Las cuotas recaudadas para nuestras clases permiten a Blessed Trinity continuar con este valioso ministerio. En consideración de estos gastos, nuestros costos son los siguientes:

• $50 para estudiantes que participen en cualquiera de los ministerios como Monaguillo, de 4to grado a 12vo grado.

• Edge y Lifeteen- $50 por estudiante - Ver Ministerios - Ministerio Juvenil.
• $45 para Sacramentos de Reconciliación y Primera Comunión.
• $45 para Sacramentos de Reconciliación, Primera Comunión y Confirmación para adultos.
• $45 para Confirmación de jovenes. NOTA: Haber completado un año en el programa de LifeTeen para el año académico 2025-2026 y estar en 10vo grado.
