Holy Week Is Approaching As we prepare to celebrate the most sacred days of the Church’s year, we invite all our liturgical ministers to make themselves available to serve and to be faithful to the scheduled liturgies and prayer services of Holy Week. In a special way, we encourage participation in the extended Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Holy Thursday evening.
During these holy days many visitors and friends will join us. Our reverence in worship, our spirit of service, and our warm welcome will become a living witness of our faith — a sign of the Father’s love, the hope we share in the Risen Lord, and the power of the Holy Spirit alive in our community here at Blessed Trinity Catholic Parish.
Thank you for helping our parish celebrate these sacred days with devotion, hospitality, and faith.
A Time of Renewal for Our Parish Church Two weeks ago, on the Third Sunday of Lent, I shared that we are planning several meaningful renovations to our church sanctuary — the most sacred space of our parish, often called the “Holy of Holies.” These changes are not simply improvements to a building; they are outward signs of our deepening faith, our love for the Eucharist, and our renewed commitment to discipleship here at Blessed Trinity Catholic Parish. At times, renovations can seem confusing or concerning until we understand their purpose within the beauty and tradition of the Church’s liturgy. Our goal is simple: to enhance the reverence, dignity, and devotion with which we worship the Lord. Among the planned improvements that are envisioned:
A new bronze tabernacle, reminding us that Christ truly dwells among us in the Blessed Sacrament.
Our sacred relics, currently displayed in the narthex, will be reverently placed within the altar, following the Church’s ancient tradition.
The sanctuary will receive dignified bronze candlestands and a new bronze monstrance with matching candelabras.
Additional sacred appointments (processional cross, incensor, ciboria, sanctuary lamp) will also be renewed.
These improvements are meant not only to beautify our church, but also to deepen our prayer, strengthen our devotion to the Eucharist, and lift our hearts to God in worship. In the coming weeks, parishioners will have the opportunity to participate in this renewal. Your support will make these sacred enhancements possible, and many items may also be offered as a living memorial, in honor of or in memory of loved ones or special intentions. Please keep this effort in your prayers. May this time of renewal help us grow not only in the beauty of our church, but in the faith of our hearts, as together we continue building the living Church of Christ here at Blessed Trinity.
