Our VPK program uses Seeds from Pflaum to introduce young children to the Catholic faith. Children are familiarized with the sacraments, liturgical rituals, symbols, and seasons, and begin learning how to pray. The curriculum helps form children's moral lives, standards, and values, giving them the words and tools they need to talk about God.
Elementary classes use The Word of Life series, published by the Augustine Institute. As the General Directory of Catechesis (no. 226) reminds us, parents are the primary educators of their children. Teachers lead class on Sundays, and parents are asked to support catechists by reviewing classwork at home and completing follow-up assignments with their child each week.
