Gathered by Grace, Sent in Love

As Blessed Trinity celebrates the 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Fr. Skip reminds us that God continually gathers His people, forms them through grace, and sends them into the world as missionary disciples. Drawing from the covenant established at Sinai and Christ's commissioning of the Twelve Apostles, this week's message calls parishioners to move beyond simply belonging to the Church and embrace active participation in Christ's mission. The parish celebrates another successful Vacation Bible School, announces important stewardship updates, and introduces new initiatives aimed at strengthening parish life and community safety. Together, Blessed Trinity continues growing as a vibrant parish family called to witness Christ's compassion and mercy.

Pastor's Message Highlights

A Chosen People

Fr. Skip reflects on God's covenant with Israel in Exodus, where God transforms a wandering people into "a kingdom of priests and a holy nation." Through Baptism, Christians inherit this same identity as God's chosen people. 

Called and Sent

In Matthew's Gospel, Jesus calls the Twelve Apostles by name and immediately sends them into mission. The Christian vocation is never passive. Disciples are sent to proclaim God's Kingdom, bring healing, and restore hope. 

Missionary Discipleship Today

Fr. Skip emphasizes that Blessed Trinity is called not only to receive God's grace but to actively participate in the Church's mission through service, evangelization, compassion, and witness.

He invites parishioners to prayerfully consider:

• How is God calling us to deepen our identity as His chosen people?
• Where is the Holy Spirit inviting greater participation?
• How can Blessed Trinity become a stronger witness of Christ's mercy?
• In what ways are we being sent to proclaim, heal, reconcile, and serve?

Vacation Bible School Success

Blessed Trinity celebrated another memorable Summer Vacation Bible School, filled with prayer, music, learning, friendship, and faith formation for children from both the parish and surrounding communities.

Sunday Security Initiative

Beginning this year, Blessed Trinity will provide professional security personnel during Sunday liturgies and selected weekend parish activities.

This initiative was undertaken with support from the Diocese of Orlando and the Parish Finance Committee to ensure the safety and well-being of parishioners.

Parishioners are invited to prayerfully consider modest increases in offertory stewardship to sustain this ministry of protection. 

Adopt a Precinct Program

Blessed Trinity will once again participate in the Adopt a Precinct Program during the August and November elections.

The parish currently seeks three bilingual Spanish-English volunteers to serve on election teams.

This ministry continues to provide both community service opportunities and financial support for the parish.
